New Grants and Funding Initiatives
The Delta Dental Foundation (DDF) recently approved more than $740,000 in grants to fund initiatives in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana:
- $175,000 to The Healthcare Connection to replace dental equipment at the Lincoln Heights Dental Center and the School-Based Health Center Dental Suite in the Norwood School District in Ohio.
- $150,000 to Primary Health Solutions to equip a new three-chair dental clinic in Oxford, Ohio.
- $75,000 to Amplify Hancock Innovation Center to outfit and launch the dental careers lab at the Hancock County Career Center for high school students in Greenfield, Indiana.
- $54,957 to the American Institute of Dental Public Health to conduct an oral health needs assessment for Michigan veterans.
- $52,595 to Planet Smilez to host a Discovering Dentistry Symposium at Northern Michigan University to introduce high school students to oral health careers.
- $50,000 to HNC Living Foundation for dental care for head and neck cancer patients in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
- $50,000 to Lorain County Community College to purchase equipment for their dental hygiene clinic.
- $50,000 to MedWish Medworks to support their annual free, two-day dental clinic for Northeast Ohio residents.
- $39,495 to Indiana Health Centers to purchase equipment that will expand services to include crowns, root canals and dentures.
- $30,000 to the University of Cincinnati Foundation to purchase updated equipment for UC Blue Ash College’s dental hygiene clinic.
- $10,000 to the Health Department of Northwest Michigan to support Senior Smiles, which delivers education, screenings and resources to older adults.
- $6,907 to Lorain County Health & Dentistry to purchase clinic equipment.
