New Grants and Funding Initiatives
The Delta Dental Foundation (DDF) recently approved nearly $1.2 million in grants to fund initiatives in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana:
- $211,093 to The Greater Dayton School to equip a three-chair dental clinic to support their students and families.
- $200,000 to United We Smile to support dental services for children, pregnant women, people with disabilities and veterans in northern Michigan.
- $187,865 to Catholic Charities of Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton Counties to purchase equipment for a new safety-net clinic in Lansing, Michigan.
- $120,000 to the University of Michigan to support the Victors for Veterans program, including two new locations in Lansing and Hannahville, Michigan.
- $110,000 to McMillen Health for Brush! curriculum in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
- $75,000 to HNC Living Foundation to provide dental care for low-income head and neck cancer patients in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
- $75,000 to the Ohio Department of Health to help Ohio communities purchase fluoridation equipment.
- $54,308 to the University of Indianapolis MICI-AHEC for a dental careers camp for high school and college students.
- $40,000 to MedWish Medworks for a free two-day dental clinic in northeast Ohio.
- $32,959 to the Health Department of Northwest Michigan to expand care delivery to local schools and community groups across eight counties.
- $22,710 to The Centers to purchase equipment to expand patient capacity in Cleveland, Ohio.
- $21,492 to McMillen Health for Brush! oral health resources for WIC clinics in southeast Michigan.
- $20,000 to Marram Health Center to fund denture fabrication for uninsured and underinsured people in Gary, Indiana.
- $14,585 to Bashor Children’s Home of the United Methodist Church to provide dental care to residential youth in Goshen, Indiana.
- $10,000 to National Network of Healthcare Hygienists for scholarships that will support public health dental hygienists completing the oncology certificate program.
